Reissue of the classic Joe Gibbs produced Culture LP. The music, of course, is timeless, but also of its time, redolent, to white UK fans at least, of that musically tumultuous year of punk and its appropriation of reggae as something vaguely revolutionary to listen to in between punk gigs and getting beaten up by Teds. Joseph Hill and his campadres knew nothing of this at the time, and the album remains a reggae gem.
