Sohn -Lessons EP

Following on from debut 4AD release ‘Bloodflows’, SOHN arrives on the label once more with single ‘Lessons’. The title track is an assured bringing together of key electronic music strands from the last few years of vanguard production, with layers upon layers of soulful male crooning which inevitably recall James Blake sitting on top of an analogue synth line which is a more claustrophobic cousin of Oneohtrix Point Never’s ‘Rifts’ compilation. As if to highlight these two strands, the single is presented both as an instrumental and a capella version, which will undoubtedly please more esoteric DJs and purists.
