£38.95
Tone Poet edition stereo LP produced by Joe Harley, mastered by Kevin Gray from the original analogue master tapes, pressed on 180g vinyl and packaged in a deluxe tip-on jacket.
Duke Jordan was a key figure in the bebop revolution, first gaining recognition as pianist in Charlie Parker’s quintet. In 1960 he recorded his only Blue Note album, Flight To Jordan, a quintessential hard bop session. The record features a powerhouse ensemble with Dizzy Reece on trumpet, Stanley Turrentine on saxophone, Reggie Workman on bass, and Art Taylor on drums, all in top form.
