Presenting the trumpeter at the helm of an excellent quintet with James Spaulding (alto saxophone & flute),Herbie Hancock (piano), Reggie Workman (bass), and Clifford Jarvis(drums), the album opens with a breathtaking performance of the standard “You’re My Everything” followed by 4 captivating Hubbard originals: “Prophet Jennings,” “Hub-Tones,” “Lament for Booker,” and “For Spee’s Sake.”
This Classic Vinyl Edition is all-analog, mastered by Kevin Gray from the original master tapes, and pressed on 180g vinyl at Optimal.
